Pardon my naivete, I installed microemacs 3.9e on a Sun 3/60 running Sun Unix 4.2 Release 3.4. And when I try to use control-z to stop microemacs as the foreground process, it does not. Did I make a mistake in installing microemacs, or is there a problem with the key bindings to control-z, or is not possible to stop and restart microemacs ? mark [can't stand the rain] kraitchman * UUCP:ucbvax!jade!moe!mark * * ARPA:mark@moe.berkeley.edu * ***************************************************************

The default Micro-Emacs binding for control-z resizes the current window (I think...). I put the following in my .emacsrc file and got my job control back: bind-to-key suspend-emacs ^Z Also, ^X-D is the default 'suspend-emacs' binding. -- Glen Overby Bitnet: ncoverby@ndsuvax UUCP: uunet!ndsuvax!ncoverby
