[comp.emacs] GNU and DECnet

I recently installed version 18.49 under VMS.  I've noticed that when I do
SET HOST from one VMS machine to log into another, and then try to run GNU
on the remote machine, that it sometimes loses input characters if I type
too fast.  These are ordinary characters that it's losing, not control 
characters.  Has anybody else seen this behavior before and/or have a fix
for it?
