djs@chasefrs.UUCP (01/16/87)

I am entering this intop the net for a friend :

He is using SCO Xenix System V and has the source to Emacs. Has anyone ported
emacs to xenix? Can anyone tell him any hints? Give him any help?

Also any SCO xenix users who would like to correspond with him please send
me email with your adddress. He currently lives in NYC but soon will be going
to live in NJ.

He needs some help with UUCP and netnews, and a site to attach to in NJ.

His name is :

This is for my wife who says her Unipress Emacs for Xenix is too slow.
Is there another Emacs product out there that is faster? Gnu for Xenix
maybe? Or does anyone know a way of speeding up the Unipress version
considerably? Thanx for any info...

Disclaimer: VALIS made me do it.

I strongly recommend EPSILON, from Lugaru Software,

I think that it is great, although it is a little slower over serial
lines than I would like, especially compared to the excellent response
on the console. (However, microemacs is even faster, but I like all
of the commands provided by EPSILON, and the C-like programming
language included).
