[comp.emacs] Bug in terminal.el in 18.50 SYSV

craig@ncrcpx.UUCP (R. Craig Peterson) (03/09/88)

In terminal.el there is a variable called te-stty-string which is used
to define an initialization string for the pseudo-tty on terminal
emulation startup. It may well work just fine for a BSD system,
however it doesn't work worth a darn for SYSV.

The sysv function should read:

(defvar te-stty-string "stty -nl sane erase echoe echo"
"Command string (to be interpreted by \"sh\") which sets the modes
of the virtual terminal to be appropriate for interactive use.")

which should work just fine for usgs out there. Modify to your
heart's content.
