[comp.emacs] Nroff mode

I'm having a little trouble using the nroff mode in emacs.  In several
places in my text I have something like:

.in 0
1) While
'in 3
this is the only example that I can come up with now, something else
might have done just as well.
.in 0

The problem is that a paragraph reflow (M-q) includes the "'in 3" in
with the text.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
