Hi out there, We have are trying to install GNU Emacs version 18.41.5 on a new machine that is a SYSV.2.x machine with 4.2BSD enhancements. All went well until we tries to run subprocesses in Emacs windows. It all works on SYSV release 5-2-2 or later but not on 5-2-0 so my question is what has changed from 5-2-0 to 5-2-2 to allow subprocesses to work. Best Regards Kim Chr. Madsen.

Nothing. On cbrma.att.com, a SysV.0 VAX-11/780, GNU Emacs 18.47 runs
and does subprocesses just fine, including mailer things, shell
windows, and all that good stuff. Something else is causing the
trouble.
