Thanks to all who responded to the query on MacJove. Because of the large number who do not have ftp access, I have sent the binaries to comp.bin- aries.mac. As this is a moderated group, I cannot guarantee that they will be posted, however. The binaries have also been sent to info-mac@sumex, and to a couple of other sites. Thanks also to the couple of people who reported problems. I responded to everyone who requested information. However, our mailer has problems with some non-arpa sites. The MacJove binary has been relinked with the newer libraries, which correct some problems noted. The new binaries may be obtained from our site via ftp anonymous login, in the directory /pub/jove, and are the same as those sent to comp.binaries.mac and sumex. A description of the files in /pub/jove is in the file "DIRECTORY_INFO". If you have Stuffit 1.20, then you can simply grab "MacJove.sit.Hqx", which contains all the files you will need. The source files have not been changed, but if you get the sources, make certain you also get the "Readme.too" file in the /pub/jove directory, which contains a couple of minor source code changes. In general, if you have the LightspeedC compiler with 2.15 libraries, you are better off getting the sources than the binaries. Not only can you customize the program, but future updates and bug fixes may appear in the sources before updated binaries are available.
