[comp.emacs] A verbose setting in Gnu Emacs mail like Unix mail

Question to all of you GNU addicts out there.  Is there any switch I can set
so that Gnu Emacs will put out the verbose details of delivery to , say,
another window so we can overlook it?

What I would like is similar to the -v option in Unix mail . . .
