[comp.emacs] Outlining facilities in Gnu Emacs

  I wonder if anyone has an "outliner" major-mode of emacs.  I find
them useful, but hate copying things back and forth to a Poisonous
Computer or Mac just to use one.

Since you have GNU Emacs, say "M-X apropos outline".  It's also in
pages 117-120 of my paper copy of the 18.49 manual, section 20.1.3.
Say "M-X outline-mode" to use it.
