Has anyone tried to add filename completion to MicroEmacs yet? It would
be great to have it as a feature, like Gnu does. Maybe someone could work
something up to handle this. The code might be pretty machine-specific, but
it's better to have it available for what machines we can than not at all.

It would Steve (and others) Late last year (December, I think) someone posted a bugfix for MicroEmacs 3.9e that did this. It was called 'tenex file completion for MicroEmacs' or something like that. I believe I have the patches around somewhere or perhaps the original poster would prefer to send them or a variant of them. From what I remember (I did not implement them at the time), there were a couple of VERY minor problems involving where filenames were 'looked for', but it has been a long time. Yes, I have added filename, buffer name, and procedure name completion to MicroEMACS 3.9 for BSD4.2, MsDos(MSC), and VMS. Along with several other nice features.
