[comp.emacs] Request for VMS installation help

I gave a copy of our emacs 18.51 to a co-worker who wanted to install it
on a VAX running VMS.  He has not been successful in installation.  The
C files compile OK, but the lisp code will not load.  Has anyone else had
the same problems, and were you able to overcome them?  The VMS version is
4.6 (I believe).

I'm sure that help will be appreciated.
