hi folks how hard is it to get gnu emacs into a "restricted" mode (that is, the user can only change certain files, can't create any, can't start up a shell, etc...) ? i'd like to use gnu-emacs as the shell for a programming contest, but need to be able to severely restrict the users system-wide abilites while still maintaining a flexible editing environment. any ideas? remember, i'm new to gnu. thanks bruce oberg boberg@cs.washington.edu
