Has anyone ported Gnu Emacs to OS/2? Can it be done? I've ported MicroEmacs, and it is available on Daniel Lawrence's BBS, but I am very interested in trying Gnu Emacs, even if it is an incomplete port. Greg Pflaum {sun, mit-eddie}!interlan!pflaum

As far as I know Richard Stallman does not believe in machines with 16-bit ints. Since OS/2 only uses the 80286 (even on a 80386) so far, Gnu Emacs will be difficult to port. But maybe in a few years OS/2 will start using the true 80386 (when all 80286 machines have died already) and then it can be done...
