Will emacs run on Sun386 workstations with SunOS 4.0? If yes, which version of emacs do I need, and does anyone out there with experience installing emacs on a Sun386 have advice for attempting this? -Michael Gregg UJIGGS@UNC.bitnet

I did it with 18.52 in three minutes plus compile time. For starters, look in $emacs/etc/MACHINES and search for Sun 386i references. It will tell you which two configuration files (s- & m- ) to use.
