I didn't get any answers to this posting so I'll post again in case it was overlooked. ---- I'm trying to install GNU EMACS release 18.51 (at least that's what I could gather from the MACHINES file; where do I look to find the correct release number?) on an HP 9000 series 300 computer. I have recently updated HP-UX to version 6.2. I set up the config.h and paths.h files according to instructions in INSTALL. Also, I have followed the comments in the MACHINES file and used the 's-hpux.h' and 'm-hp9000s300.h' headers with #define C_SWITCH +x since our computer runs on a 68020 with 68881. When I run 'make', everything goes smoothly until 'ld' in src. At this point I get the following message: ld: undefined external - flag_68010 Can anyone offer suggestions as to what is wrong? How can I correct this problem? I also have a problem when making 'env' in etc. This time I get the message: ld: undefined external - _index What should I do about this?
