A new release announcement (not a review): Children's Television Workshop and Jim Henson present CTW22104-- Born to Add (The Great Rock and Roll from Sesame Street). From the Toronto Globe & Mail review, August 6: "Conceived by former Nat'l Lampoon parodist Christopher Cerf, this is a very funny children's record based on rock hits. Starting with the Bruce Springsteen parody, Born to Add ("And we scream into the bitter night, three plus one is four"), the songs here provide as good an education in rock as they do in telling the time, obeying health rules and other matters essential to developing a healthy citizenry. ..." I post this now, before I've had time to listen to it, so other Torontonians can take advantage of my hindsight-- I've seen it available for $8.99, $6.99, and $4.99, the last at A&A's downtown, near Yonge & Dundas (2nd floor, near the front of the store) and so the net at large is alerted to a potential gem of a record.

It's really hilarious, and I suspect a lot of people who don't have school age children will be seen in the checkout aisles with it. I certainly will when I find it. Wombat pur-ee!uiucdcs!uicsl!wombat
