Hi there! Thanks to the suggestions of a lot of you out there I have succeeded in getting GNU Emacs to compile properly. I thank you all for your kind help. I have tried to reply to everyone who sent me e-mail but occasionally my replies would bounce so I am posting this "thank you" message for those who didn't get personal replies from me.
