I am running xgdb on a vax750 under unix BSD4.3 and X11R2, the server is running on a Sun 386i under SunOS 4.0 and X11R2. When I run xgdb I get the following: X Toolkit Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'EditMode' conversion. GDB 2.7, Copyright (C) 1988 Free Software Foundation, Inc. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY for GDB; type "info warranty" for details. GDB is free software and you are welcome to distribute copies of it under certain conditions; type "info copying" to see the conditions. Type "help" for a list of commands. (gdb) note the prompt at the end, The window appears on the sun with no problems but none of the buttons (print, run, etc.) on the window will do anything until I type a command on the vax side. Has anyone else got xgdb running on disjoint client/servers pairs? help -- If the Nazi's had television with satellite technology, we'd all be goose-stepping.
