[comp.emacs] How can I get a copy of gnu-emacs and how big is it?

willard@usm3b2.EDU (Jonathan Scott Willard) (02/01/89)

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the gnu-emacs
source, and how big it is? Thanks.

GNU Emacs source code, and other software on 1600bpi industry standard
magnetic tape in tar format. The tape also include Scheme, Hack,
Bison, Gnu Chess, GDB, and the X window system (Version 10).

Price: $150.00 $175 if you request DC300XL 1/4" cartridge tape for
Suns.

$150 if you request VMS interchange format, and you only get Gnu Emacs
source.

You can also request GNU emacs manuals at $60.00 per book, Gnu
reference cards for $1.00 per card, etc.

If you're outside North America, add $15 for each tape or manual for
shipping.

They also ask you to include your Name, and complete address (city,
state,zip)

If you are on an HP9000 Series 800 I can get you a tape of Gnu that
already runs on our system. It won't cost you a cent if you return
the tape to me.

The 18.52 source distribution is 4,243,060 bytes. You can get it via
anonymous FTP from prep.ai.mit.edu, or via anonymous UUCP from
osu-cis. Write me (with a real return address) for instructions.
