I want to set a default location for my GNUemacs window--but GNUemacs doesn't seem to look for emacs.geometry in .Xdefaults. There is a function from within emacs that allows me to move the window around, but I don't know how to invoke it from .emacs. I can't find the variables in question. INFO tells me nothing. Anyone? --mike bergman bergman@m2c.org

Try emacs*geometry, rather than emacs.geometry.
