Okay, this is where I'm going to make an absolute fool of myself. I know next to nothing about EMACS, the GNU project, interchangeable sourcecode, or anything else about it. And I'd like very, very much to learn. First, I saw briefly on the Apple II Binaries section that there was a version of EMACS for the GS (Since last semester, it scrolled off), and I was hoping to find an alternate source for it. (I'll also file this request on there; maybe they'll repost it again?) Second, where can I find out about GNU and so forth? I remember that EMACS was a strong part of it, so I figured I'd ask here about newsletters, magazines, and journals first. Third, since I know next to nothing about GNU, I don't know if this follows or not: I heard there is LISP sourcecode floating around for the EMACS system. Would it run on an "alien" EMACS like that for the GS? If it doesn't, feel free to give me a swift kick. Fourth, what else should I know that isn't covered in EMACS Docs, GNU periodicals, and sourcecode? Since I don't know what else to ask about, I might as well ask what I should ask about... -David Wood ************************* IGNORE THIS LINE **************************** *********************** IGNORE PREVIOUS LINE **************************
