[comp.emacs] talking to gould from apollo

gnulists@WHEATIES.AI.MIT.EDU (03/28/89)

I use an apollo that talks to a gould via vt100 emulation.
I can run vi fine with this setup, though I don't want to.
Whenever I start emacs, it says that terminal type 'vt100'
is not powerful enough to run emacs, because it lacks the
ability to position the cursor. But vi does it! What
must I do to allow me to edit files on the gould from my
apollo?
