I can't seem to get 'M-x shell' to work. Actually, it looks like anything that I try to run as an interactive, inferior process doesn't work. I get an error message like this: Process shell terminated abnormally with 1 or something like that. The word 'shell' can be substituted with whatever I'm trying to run. Ideas?
