][ i have a question about the freemacs distribution of 1.5d. when i got the file, EMACS15D.ARC, a file called USER.ED was in the archive but had zero bytes. i understand this file gets read upon startup and freemacs complains when its not present. what goes in this file? could you share a sample with me? also, is this the latest version? thanks. -- | | michael regoli | ...rutgers!iuvax!silver!regoli | regoli@silver.bacs.indiana.edu |

Right, it's always loaded.
what goes in this file?
User-specific things like different mouse packages, tags, and stuff like that.
could you share a sample with me?
You should already have it. If you don't, FTP to grape.ecs.clarkson.edu, cd
to /e/freemacs, and look around.
also, is this the latest version?
Yes, but I will be putting out a new version soon.
Thank you for your interest, but please remember that there is a
mailing list specifically for Freemacs. Subscription info is in
README.DOC. The list has a very high signal-to-noise ratio.
