Edwin was recently re-announced in comp.lang.scheme.c, along with Scheme-7. Would people who have used this like to comment on it? How does it compare, e.g., with Gnuemacs? I like the idea of using scheme; furthermore, since scheme has real compilers, I wonder if it isn't faster than the Gnuemacs lisp. Can Edwin also be compiled using, e.g. T? Does it have generational garbage collection? The main down-side would be a lack of the copious amounts of Gnuemacs functions out there. -- Dirk Grunwald -- Univ. of Illinois (grunwald@flute.cs.uiuc.edu)
