[comp.emacs] request for emacs for dos; call me dodo

eben@mmsac.UUCP (Eben R.S. Visher) (11/09/89)

Don't you just hate those dodos who march unannounced into a news
group and ask the same question someone else asked last month, and
which got 2,130 answers?

I just can't figure out another way--so call me dodo. We have been
joyously immersed in Unix, emacs'd to the gills, when along comes a
random--but important--request that requires running emacs on DOS.

Could you please point me at the best real-GNU style emacs for PCs?
Compiling preferable, buying if necessary. No imitations (e.g.,
Brief), if you can possibly avoid it.

Thanks--what a great bunch of readers this group must have.
