[comp.emacs] Reviewer Wanted: X EMACS on HP 9000

taylor@limbo.Intuitive.Com (Dave Taylor) (11/16/89)

Do you have access to an HP 9000 computer running X Windows?
Are you an EMACS user or someone knowledgeable in the inner
mysteries of the editing environment? Most importantly, can
you write up an objective review of a commercial EMACS editor
without 1. being too biased against the "philosophy of selling
software" and 2. getting into any conflict of interest with your
employer?

If your answer is "YES" to all of the above, then I would like
to hear from you ASAP: In conjunction with Alan Southerton of
'Unix World' magazine, we're looking for someone who can evaluate,
review and write up their results and thoughts for a future issue
of the magazine. (I will also be available as co-author or editor
if you're anxious about the quality of your prose)

The product is the new X Window System compatible version of
UniPress EMACS, and it was only just released on the HP-UX
platform. Initial word is that it's a really nice version
with many hooks into X Windows ...

Lest we forget, you would not only get to play with this new
piece of software -- and probably keep it -- but you would also
have the pleasure of seeing your name and mug shot in print in
the magazine [and publications look great on your resume!].
AND, most importantly of all, you'd get paid $$ for the review
too.
Sound interesting? If so, please drop me a note with
	some indication of your qualifications.

			Thanks for the bandwidth,
