I am looking for a way to take notes as I read, and to link those notes in a simple hypertextual fashion ... my question is, can an adaptation or extension of the emacs 'info' facility do what I need? Specifically, I want to read mail, write, etc. in various windows (on a Sun) and to take notes (possibly including copy/paste excerpts from the other windows) ... main requirements are to be able to create a new 'note card' easily, to put text in it, and to then link that 'card' into a structure of other cards (perhaps with a key sequence meaning 'build a link from here to there' or vice versa) ... and then, I need to be able to navigate around following the links from 'card' to 'card' .... Is it easy/hard/impossible to do this with emacs 'info'? Please advise! (Also, if there is some other way for me to take notes and link them efficiently, pls tell me).
