[comp.emacs] A small microemacs for MS-DOS

chet@uwovax.uwo.ca (12/19/89)

I would like to have a version of microemacs to run on my 4.77 MHz Toshiba
T1000. Load time with MicroEMACS 3.10 is 25 secs--vs 4 secs with Turbo
Pascal Toolbox binary editor (I'd be happy with 12-15secs). Have compiled
Dave Conroy's Microemacs v.30 on Unix and VMS, and it runs well there. On
MS-DOS, I've compiled it, and it runs, but I don't know enough to get the
keyboard codes right. Could anyone send me the files they've fixed? (I've
used Turbo C 2.0.) Chet Creider (email: creider@csd.uwo.ca). Perhaps a
very early version of Dan Lawrence's MicroEMACS would also be faster.
