I've become a real fan of gnews for reading news under GNU emacs, but I've run into a possible problem with the way gnews handles hook-kill processing. If I go through a group article-by-article, everything works fine, and the appropriate subjects are killed as gnews comes across them. But if I enter a group in index mode, hook-kill processing doesn't seem to work at all. Sometimes some subjects are killed and not others; other times not all articles with a particular subject are killed. Before I go diving into the code, has anyone else noticed this behavior? Is it a bug (and if so, have there been patches that I missed)? Or am I just overlooking something about the way hook-kill processing is supposed to work? Any help would be appreciated. -- Steve Baumgarten | "New York... when civilization falls apart, Davis Polk & Wardwell | remember, we were way ahead of you." baumgart@esquire.dpw.com | cmcl2!esquire!baumgart | - David Letterman
