I am trying to run GNU Emacs 18.55 under SCO Xsight, X11R3 for SCO UNIX, on a '386 PC.The problem I am having is very simple. SCO UNIX does not have FIONREAD or SIGIO so the interrupt input stuff does not work. This means that Emacs cannot assynchronously detect the C-g key. It is very frustrating to be executing an Emacs command that takes a long time to execute, and not be able to interrupt it. I suppose I could write an event filter that would send Emacs a signal every time I pressed a C-g. The problem is, Emacs would have to get all its Xevents from the filter. Any better ideas? -- Terry Hull Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kansas State University Work: terry@eecea.eece.ksu.edu, rutgers!ksuvax1!eecea!terry Play: terry@tah386.manhattan.ks.us, rutgers!ksuvax1!eecea!tah386!terry
