[comp.emacs] League for Programming Freedom information

rms@AI.MIT.EDU (07/01/90)

In addition to the invitation to join and membership form, which I
included at the end of the previous message containing the news
article about the Lotus lawsuit, the LPF also has a position paper,
"Against User Interface Copyright", and a draft of another position
paper, "Against Software Patents". If you are trying to persuade
someone who thinks there might be some good in either of these forms
of monopoly, the position papers may help. They are too long to post
here, so please send me email if you want copies.

Please re-post my first message about the lawsuit to local mailing
lists and bboard systems, since we need to reach as many people as
possible. If you'd like another copy, send me email.
