My problem with pcmail is that in invocations of emacs other than the one which created my primary-folder, the variable pcmail-folder-name is nil. Commands like pcmail-summarize-folder, operating on the current folder, will terminate with the error: "No folder named nil". Also, if I'm using a wastebasket folder, quitting pcmail doesn't let me out but only toggles between the wastebasket and the last folder visited. As I intimated, if I manually delete my primary-folder and it's reference in the folders file and let pcmail create it anew, everything works fine - for this session! I haven't yet discerned the vital difference between creating and reading a folder and just reading it. Any suggestions or admonitions will be gratefully accepted. By the way, I'm using pcmail version 1.4. -- Michael A.
