Scenario: (At home) 3b1 running 3.51m + the `freely distributable' pty driver. I compiled GNUemacs (18.55) using gcc v1.37 (except for one file), with HAVE_PTYS defined. It works perfectly -- I love it! Problem: At work, a 3b1 running 3.51m + Wollongong's TCP/IP (which includes pseudo-ttys). The binary I created at home doesn't work -- as soon as I start something that uses ptys, emacs ignores everything except ^G. I thought that I might need to #define SYSV_PTYS, but that causes an attempt to #include <sys/pty.h>, which isn't one of the include files supplied by the TCP/IP software. Any suggestions? For what it's worth, I found the same problem on a 3B2/400 with Wollongong's TCP/IP, but since that machine isn't used for much anymore I didn't try very hard to fix it (read: not at all ;-).
