[comp.emacs] Question about M-[ and M-] -- request to

I mentioned to rms that M-{ is used in the various (La)TeX modes and submodes
to create the pervasive curly-brace pair:

	TeX-insert-braces:
Make a pair of braces and be poised to type inside of them.

Regardless if they move the paragraph commands there or not, could the
maintainers of all the (La)TeX modes and submodes please move the bindings of
such commands to C-C prefixes? E.g., C-C { to run TeX-insert-braces. Note
also that M-} has a list related global binding and something useful (e.g.,
some kind of LaTeX-find-previous-opened-environment-and-close-it ;-) could
be put on C-C }

Are any of the (La)TeX support .el package maintainers interested in doing
these for the next (or earlier) release? Thanks (from a user).

Richard--

I agree that, given the terminal hardware bindings of M-[ that the paragraph
commands should be moved.

I think that the paragraph commands could go on M-RET rather than
M-{ and M-} One problem is that the various (La)TeX modes and submodes
have already bound M-{ to create a pair of curly-braces, leaving point
between them. (I am planning on posting a general request to info-gnu-emacs
that the purveyors of those modes change that to C-C } per a general trend.)

I suggest that there be only one paragraph command and that it take a
numeric argument for how many paragraphs to move.
