[comp.emacs] elisp programmer's manual

maz@ztivax.UUCP (Markus Zolg) (08/22/90)

Is there a elisp programmer's manual available which defines the standard
emacs functions? I've got the GNU_Emacs manual - but this one describes
only the interactive usage of the functions.

Thanks for any document or pointer!

I think what you want is GNU Emacslisp Reference Manual.
I describes all the functions and a lot more. It's only fault
is it's almost 600 pages (one sided) long. I'm sorry I don't know
where you can get your hands on that (I had it already on my
system in Emacs's info tree) but if you haven't been able to
locate it in a resonable time, you could contact jkp@cs.hut.fi.
He is the Emacs "guru" in my university and he surely has
a valid pointer to a site where it can be found.

But please wait first; maybe someone reading this group already
knows it. I don't want jkp blaming me for his flooding mailbox!
