I have recently been introduced to emacs, just finding how useful it really is, and am running version 18.55 on a SPARCstation 1 (with GX), under SunOS 4.1. I have a problem with emacs quitting (seemingly of its own accord). I am able to use it for hours at a time with no problem. It seems to me that I mainly have problems after using xlock or the screen being blanked for sometime using screenblank - although not always :-(. Sometimes I am left with a core file, although I haven't had one left for a couple of days now. I used dbx once - it did not tell me anything I could make use of... We have around 30 SS1's in my office. Why is it that only my machine seems to be affected. The only other person with the GX module does not run emacs. Could it be something to do with this?
