Thanks for the information.  It turns out that my main problem was
that I didn't have HAVE_SELECT defined.  For ISC Unix 2.2, only some
of your patches are needed (plus a couple of new ones).

This doesn't seem to be the case anymore.  With ISC 2.2 my Emacs
dumped fine.
