[comp.emacs] Meta-key map for AT&T Unix SysV/386

tony@ajfcal.uucp (Tony Field) (10/08/90)

I have written a keyboard mapping programme that allows, amongst other
things, the ALT key on and AT keyboard to be used as the META key
for gnu-emacs. It can support any number of alternate key maps.

It is designed to work with AT&T SystemV/386, v3.2.2. It may(not) work
on other versions of Unix.

Unfortunately, it does not seem to change the way in which X11R2 operates...

If there is any interest, I could post the source to comp.sources.misc.

I have been using this package for the purpose you state since it was
posted last year. I compiled it then on ISC's 2.0.2, and more recently
installed it on our ISC 2.2 version. As I recall, it worked right
out of the box (so to speak).
