Years and years ago, while using Gosling EMACS on an AT&T 3B under UNIX(R) System V (where this editor is known as ``GMACS''), I wrote a monster ``.emacs_pro'' that makes this version of EMACS behave *exactly* the way I want it to. I have now begun to do a lot of text editing on an AT&T 6386 PC under MS/DOS. I would like to get Gosling EMACS, along with my original .emacs_pro, running on the PC.
