You should have asked this question on: help-gnu-emacs@prep.ai.mit.edu gnu-emacs-sources@prep.ai.mit.edu is for Source Code ONLY! thanx -len Re: Return-Path: <gnu-emacs-sources-request@prep.ai.mit.edu> Date: 2 Nov 90 00:45:17 GMT From: siemsen@sol.usc.edu (Pete Siemsen) Subject: Re: texinfo Sender: gnu-emacs-sources-request@prep.ai.mit.edu To: gnu-emacs-sources@prep.ai.mit.edu We have experimented with TeXinfo, and are about to commit to using it to create an information database for USC. We have Suns, Vaxes (VMS and Ultrix), Macintoshes, NeXT boxes, IBM-PCs, and IBM mainframes. TeXinfo is one of the few packages that will let us provide on-line help on all of them. We plan to commit a fair amount of effort to this. Before doing so, I'd like to know: 1. Is the new version of TeXinfo significantly different? 2. Is LaTeXinfo a better choice? I've seen postings about its advantages, but perhaps it's better to follow the FSF with TeXinfo. -- Pete Siemsen Pete Siemsen siemsen@usc.edu University of Southern California 645 Ohio Ave. #302 (213) 740-7391 (w) 1020 West Jefferson Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90814 (213) 433-3059 (h) Los Angeles, CA 90089-0251
