[comp.emacs] Where is texindex?

Hi-
     I am trying to print out a hardcopy of an info manual and am stuck at
the point in the documentation where it says:

  2. Run the shell command `texindex' on the raw index files to sort
     them.  The arguments to `texindex' are the names of the raw
     index files.  `texindex' creates sorted index files whose names
     are the names of the raw index files with an `s' appended.
...

     I can't find any "texindex" command that does what this command is
supposed to do.  Is it available anywhere via anonymous ftp?  Is there an
alternative command that has replaced it?  If so, some new GNU emacs info
documentation on that point seems in order.
