Several people have asked about xterm style highlighting in emacs; some of whom may have not realized that it requires patching emacs's C code and recompilation ... A patch for setting attributes (underline and inverse) was posted to gnu.emacs on 19 Dec 89 by Kenichi Handa (handa@etl.go.jp) ; you may want to ask him for an up-to-date version (I have a copy of the posted one, but never got around to try it). -- Boaz. ======================================================== * Boaz Ben-Zvi (boaz@neutron.lcs.mit.edu) * * MIT: NE43-526 Tel: (617) 253-6212 * ========================================================

Several people asked about patching emacs to do xterm style highlighting. Kenichi Handa (handa@etl.go.jp) have posted a year ago to gnu.emacs a patch that adds attributes (underline and inverse) to emacs. You can try and ask him for some current version. (I have the posted one but got around to try it). -- Boaz. ======================================================== * Boaz Ben-Zvi (boaz@neutron.lcs.mit.edu) * * MIT: NE43-526 Tel: (617) 253-6212 * ========================================================
