[comp.emacs] Where is tar-mode?

        I have seen occasional references to "tar-mode".  I looked for
it at the elisp-archive directory in tut.cis.ohio and at a (somewhat
old) copy of the LCD, and couldn't find it.  Would anybody help me
finding this snark?
        I use  18.55.
