[comp.emacs] Problem: Defining function keys on a VT220

The function key codes on a VT220 are a 5 character ASCII string.  F11 for
example is <esc>[23~.  Is there any way to define these keys to do Emacs
functions?  I would like to put these definations in my emacs.el file.

|\   |\   |    /  \			Gallant Knight of a rather
| \  | \  |   /				large, squarish table someplace
|  \ |  \ |--<	      SirOtto		in the West Panhandle of Florida.
