Nothing special has to be done to get 5620 key repeat, even in layer code. "tek4014" has it, and it doesn't do anything special. There is a mailing list, INFO-BLIT@BRL.ARPA, for discussions like this.

The fact is that using code provided by AT&T, it doesn't work when not in layers. How can i make that any clearer? At this point, the discussion should probably be moved to INFO-BLIT. We don't get that list, so i guess i'll have to drop out. i felt that the rose-colored images of the machine that people here (unix-wizards) were projecting were misleading. -neville

Sorry Neville, but the AT&T provided code does provide autorepeat in layers. Even when using the 4.2 verison you end up with the AT&T terminal emulator which is what is doing the autorepeat. DESPITE the fact that we paid $20,000 for full sources, AT&T refuses to complete the contract by providing the code to layersys. -Ron
