I have seen spell checkers that work better than emacs. When it finds an erroneous word, it provides the option to suggest alternatives. If you select that option, it rescans the dictionary to find words similar in spelling to the word in your text. This would be a nice feature to have in emacs. Furthermore, when you type in a replacement spelling, it should let you know if the new spelling is in the dictionary, before it asks you to confirm. -David- david@wubios.wustl.edu ^ Mr. David J.
