[comp.emacs] saving & restoring Emacs session

joep@DAS.HARVARD.EDU (joep) (02/23/91)

How can I save my editting environment (buffers, windows, keystroke
macros, etc.) across invokations of Emacs? In other words, when
I type "emacs" with no file name I want my environment restored
to what it was before the last time I exited Emacs. The PC-DOS
editor BRIEF can do this for you and I seem to remember someone
telling me, in the distant past, that Emacs also has that feature.
Any ideas?
