I've recently started working on a Motorola computer, running System V/88 Unix, based on AT&T Unix System V, Release 3.2. The Motorola box itself is a 2 processor personal computer. As the system came without Emacs, I immediately commenced porting Emacs. For the system file I used s-usg5-0.h, but I couldn't find the appropriate m-* file. I made some guesses, and got it to compile and link, but when it runs, it has some problems. Emacs appears not to be able to read directory information, so that I can't read in any files. When running shell or telnet, the following error results: #<EMACS BUG: ILLEGAL DATATYPE (#o124) Save your buffers immediately and please report this error> I would really appreciate it if anybody can send me a copy of the configuration header files required, or can offer suggestions to help fix my problem. Please send replies directly to me as I don't read this group very often. Thanks, Matthew. Matthew Leditschke Telecom Australia Research Laboratories Email: m.leditschke@trl.oz.au
