Hi - In my ongoing search for new ways to customize emacs I have decided to free up a little time to learn Elisp. A helpful person at UFL told me that he uses the *info* mode in emacs to do this - and that it's the greatest thing since sliced cheese. Tractable thing that I am, I immediately went and learned all about *info* and had quite a bit o' fun until I ran up against the wall. In this case the wall was that my system admins neglected to place a file that would look something like /elisp in the usr/local/emacs /info directory of our machine. So, what I need is a site from which someone would be able to anonymously ftp said file. Thank you much. (It's probably MIT - but more info than that would be appreciated). That helpful person from UFL directed me towards a FAQ list with message id's of 3358 and 3359 - the only trouble is they have gone to that great message dump in the sky and are no longer retrievable. Thanks for the help James mejicovs@eniac.seas.upenn.edu

Try ftp'ing from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu from the gnu/emacs/elisp or gnu/emacs/info directory trees. There is a file of all of the elisp documentation (.texinfo, and .dvi files as well as all of the info files.) If you can't find them, I can mail the compressed tar file to you or put it on our ftp machine. -Chris -- Chris Swanson, Chem/CS/Pre-med Undergrad, St. Olaf College, Northfield,MN 55057 DDN: (CDS6) INTERNET: swansonc@acc.stolaf.edu UUCP: uunet!stolaf!swansonc AT&T: Work: (507)-645-6845 Home: (507)-663-6424 I would deny this reality, but that wouldn't pay the bills...
